Welcome. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the website and any services provided by ALERACO, LLC, doing business as Alera ("Alera," "we," "us," "our"). By accessing or using our site, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services.

1. Services

Alera is a studio offering web design, web development, AI automation, chatbot development, and related professional services. Specific deliverables, timelines, and fees for any engagement are set out in a separate written proposal or agreement that supersedes these Terms for that engagement.

2. Use of the Website

You agree to use this website in accordance with applicable laws and these Terms. You may not:

3. Contact Form & Inquiries

Information you submit through our contact form is governed by our Privacy Policy. Submitting an inquiry does not create a contractual relationship between you and Alera. An engagement begins only when we have both signed a written proposal or agreement and received the agreed deposit.

4. SMS & Text Messaging

If you opt in to receive SMS communications from Aleraco, you agree to the following:

Consent to receive SMS messages is not required to purchase goods or services from us. See our Privacy Policy for full details on how we handle mobile information.

5. Intellectual Property

Our content

All content on this website — including text, graphics, logos, the Alera brand mark, and code — is the property of ALERACO, LLC (operating as Alera) or its licensors and is protected by U.S. and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Client work

Work produced for a specific client under a signed engagement is owned by that client upon final payment, as specified in their engagement agreement. Portfolio rights, case study rights, and the right to display non-confidential work publicly are reserved by Alera unless otherwise agreed.

6. Payments & Refunds

Fees, payment terms, and any applicable refund policies for professional services are defined in each signed engagement agreement. Generally, Alera operates on a fixed-price, milestone-based payment schedule (typically 50% deposit on signed proposal, 50% on launch).

7. Disclaimers

Our website and any materials on it are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Alera makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the operation of the site or the accuracy or completeness of content.

Professional service deliverables are governed by the warranties specified in each engagement agreement, not by this Terms of Service.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ALERACO, LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the website.

For professional services, Alera's total liability is limited to the amount actually paid under the applicable engagement agreement.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Alera, its members, employees, and subcontractors from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising out of your violation of these Terms or misuse of our services.

10. Third-Party Links & Services

Our site may link to or integrate with third-party services (such as form processing, SMS delivery, analytics, or hosted AI models). We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of those third parties. Review their policies separately.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The "Effective" date at the top of this page indicates when they were last updated. Your continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, United States, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Connecticut.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
